MawMaw's Day

It's Thursday.  And it's been a long time since I last blogged.  There is a reason for this.
Last Thursday I got a horrible phone call.  My great grandmother Lillie aka MawMaw had passed.  This was very upsetting as I was in the middle of packing to head up to TN for a weekend trip to go see her and the family.
Thursday's were also MawMay's Day.  This was the day she took for herself.  She wouldn't cook or clean and just relax.  It's so amazing that this is also the day that she passed.
Yes, this post is a little on the Downer Debbie side... but I loved my great grandmother.  My Lily is even named after her!

She was gorgeous and spunky and so fun to be around.  We all love you MawMaw!  Tho I didn't get to see you on your last days, I will always remember you for your best days. 
We are now home from TN and the drive was rough.  Especially on the way home the day after the funeral.  But there was some good to come out of this.  I reconnected with family that I haven't seen since I was knee high to a grasshopper.  And for that I am thankful.
